Previously i shared 7 Effective Bible Study Methods to Try Right Now  But sometimes life hits us without warning and we are left without peace for anything.

I can’t count how many times i prayed a prayer for peace when i was feeling all drowned into situations that build walls around me.

Today i take you with me as we look at 7 prayers for peace that will give us the inspiration we need to keep going on.

A prayer for peace may be used to petition God for world peace or for personal inner peace when your own life is troubled.

1. A Prayer for Personal Peace

Oh Lord, sometimes my insides feel like a battle zone, where missiles are falling too close to home. Other times I’m caught in an endless storm, with thoughts flying out of control. Confusion reigns, and defeat creeps in to steal my joy. I need your peace—the deep-down-in-your-heart kind that stays with me day and night and speaks confidently into the wind. Calm my anxious spirit, Lord; all the attacking “if-onlys” and “what-ifs” fill me with needless worry.

• Peace is a fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)

2. Prayers for Peace: A Prayer for Peace of Mind

Almighty God, We bless you for our lives, we give you praise for your abundant mercy and grace we receive. We thank you for your faithfulness even though we are not that faithful to you. Lord Jesus, we ask you to give us all around peace in our mind, body, soul and spirit. We want you to heal and remove everything that is causing stress, grief, and sorrow in our lives.

O Lord Jesus Christ, Who said to Your Apostles: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you,” regard not my sins but the faith of Your Church, and deign to give her peace and unity according to Your Will: Who live and reign, God, world without end. Amen.

Lord, In Jesus Name i pray that you give peace to this world we live in. All of us have been born with a sin nature and until we accept the gift of atonement Jesus has paid for each of us, we will have disorder, hostilities, and war mongers.

• In the end of times, rider of the apocalyptic red horse is given the sword and authority to remove peace from the earth (Revelation 6:4) (But then Jesus returns and conquers evil.)

5. Prayers of Peace: Embrace Me

Intervene, Oh Prince of Peace! Bestow Your tranquility and love upon me. Embrace me in Your comforting arms, that I may never feel uneasy and alone. Allow Your peace to pierce through my heart as You grant me unity and order in my life.

6. Prayer for inner peace and strength

O Father, Your life in me brings stillness to my turmoil.
Your life in me brings clarity to my confusion.
Wisdom to my worry & contentment to my striving.

7. Prayer for inner peace and happiness

Be still and wait and rest my soul!
For every flame needs gentle fuel.
Your love is the key,
For keeping this little candle burning alight in me.
It guides my life, my thoughts, my dreams,
And shines for all to see.
Thank you for the happiness and peace you give to me.

This prayers for peace are there to help us, Our Lord has promised us peace in these times of trial. He has provided a way for us to come to him in our times of need. The peace he can provide us can guard our minds and strengthen us. In his presence there is peace.
